A little orange never hurt anyone…

October 16, 2009…except for these pants. Sweet fancy Moses.  I feel like I’m tripping on LSD while watching an episode of Pokemon right now.

You might be asking yourself: Why an Illini blog now? Why when the football season is half over? Why when school started two months ago? Why from someone who lives in Chicago?

Well, why not?

I won’t criticize your blogs about babysitting, garage sales, or Oprah stalking, so don’t judge my desire to write about all things Illini sports in the middle of October. To each his own.

A little bit about me: I graduated from Illinois (B.S. ’08, M.S. ’09) and I currently live in Chicago. I work for the Chicago Tribune on the sports desk as a high school editorial assistant. I enjoy sports of all kinds but particularly those associated with Chicago and the Fighting Illini…hence Chillini.

Fighting Illini
Chicago Cubs/Bears
Brothers, Murhpy’s, Firehaus

St. Louis Cardinals
Chief Illiniwek (we will NOT be discussing this here)
Recruiting obsessions
Kams, Station, Clybourne (No beer on tap? Seriously?)

Well, that’s about it. Just a little introduction tonight. More coming tomorrow before the clash of the titans between Illinois and Indiana this weekend.

And if you feel so inclined, follow me on Twitter. The more followers I have, the more Jesus wants Illinois to win. Truthfact.
